EssilorLuxottica announces the arrival of Nuance Audio hearing glasses before summer

A major innovation to be launched by summer 2025 by EssilorLuxottica in several European countries, including France: Nuance Audio glasses
A brand-new type of eyewear that combines prescription lenses with a hearing solution—here’s how it works.
High-tech eyewear
Within EssilorLuxottica, the Ray-Ban brand has developed particularly advanced smart glasses. After the first generation of Ray-Ban Stories created in partnership with Meta, the new line has been aptly named Ray-Ban Meta.
These glasses allow users to take photos and videos and upload them easily to Meta’s social platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram. You can even stream live video, make phone calls, or listen to music.
The Ray-Ban Meta glasses house the battery and speakers within the arms, while the front of the frame features built-in cameras and microphones.
A similar integration has been adopted by the new Nuance Audio glasses, which feature an invisible hearing aid system fully embedded within the frame. First unveiled at Mido 2024, these innovative glasses have already caught the attention of many professionals and will soon be available to their customers.
But Nuance Audio doesn’t just amplify ambient sound picked up by microphones: thanks to beamforming technology, conversations can be isolated from background noise in busy public spaces like restaurants. This enhances listening comfort, reduces auditory fatigue, and simplifies life for wearers of these new glasses.
The Nuance Audio glasses will be controllable via a smartphone app to adjust sound levels, and they are expected to offer up to 8 hours of battery life.
Where to find Nuance Audio glasses?
Nuance Audio glasses will be available for purchase in EssilorLuxottica stores, as well as through official partners like Visiofactory. Customers will be able to choose either clear prescription lenses or sun lenses, depending on their individual needs.
Launch expected in the first half of 2025
Nuance Audio glasses are expected to hit the market in Europe—including France and Italy—before summer 2025.
Initially, the collection will offer two frame shapes, three sizes, and several color options, with the range expected to expand afterward to provide even more choice.
At a time when many people are experiencing reduced hearing, Nuance Audio glasses offer a discreet alternative to traditional hearing aids, with no need to wear a device inside the ears. It’s a small revolution—one that’s likely to appeal to a wide audience very quickly!
